Application Instructions
  • Pin and Safety Catch: Position on the lapel, collar, or pocket, push the pin through the fabric, and close the safety catch fully before wear.
  • Post and Rubber or Metal Clutch Back: Push the post through the fabric from the front and press the clutch onto the post until snug against the material.
  • Post and Jewelers Clutch: Push the post through the fabric and turn the clutch onto the threaded post until snug. Do not overtighten.
  • Post and Jewelers Clutch with Chain: Secure the pin as above, then attach the chain end to a buttonhole or second fixing point so the pin cannot be lost if it works loose.
  • Two-Post Backings: Align both posts before pushing through the fabric to keep the pin level, then secure both clutches.
  • Remove the pin before laundering or dry cleaning the garment.
  • Clean with a soft dry cloth only. Do not use abrasive cleaners, polishes, or solvents, as these can damage the plating and enamel.
  • Antique and satin matte finishes should not be polished. Polishing removes the darkened recesses or the matte texture that creates the effect.
